Seeking Supernatural
I don't have a favorite Bible verse because the Word of God is living and active. I do have verses that come alive to match the season of my life. You're probably the same way. The verse that has caught my attention lately is the first phrase of Psalm 23:3, "He restores my soul."
One of the most difficult parts of being a leader - mom, dad, pastor, boss, owner, teacher, etc., is keeping one's self nurtured. I know a great deal about this subject first hand, that's why I'm seeking God's guidance for a brand new and exciting opportunity we are planning for November 2010.
We are planning a leadership conference in Denver. My goal is to see "souls restored." I'm looking for speakers who will be God-centered and empowered with a servant motive. I envision hundreds of souls being restored, unbelieving and believing souls.
I know the game. I need to invite some very popular personalities in order to gain registrations. But how can I be confident that the most popular will be the most effective? This is my situation. We will feature six speakers, five beside myself. I would like at least one of them to be a dynamic woman who has displayed servanthood in her business and leadership endeavors. I have also contacted Tony Dungy and Lt. General Jerry Boykin.
I would be open to ideas, suggestions and prayer as we prepare to "Bring God to Denver!"
Jim
